Delor Silva was born in Strathmore to Portuguese parents Pete and Maria Silva in the little green and white house on Wheatland Trail where his mother still resides to this day. Other than a few years away travelling and working in different countries, he has spent most of his life in Strathmore. For the past 24 years he has been with Global Training Centre where he currently hold the position of President, with responsibilities which include finance, operations, accounting, and both short and long-term planning.

Delor also comes with a background in oil and gas as a derrick hand and driller, as well as in transportation with Federal Express as the Calgary Operations Manager. A little known fact about Delor is that he has also been involved with several construction projects in Strathmore, such as the Strathmore courthouse and sunset haven where he worked on both from foundation to completion.

He is happily married to his partner and best friend Debbie Shelley and together have raised a family of his, hers, and our children. 3 boys, Joshua, JR, Justin, and 2 twin girls Taryn and Tashina.

Delor has travelled extensively throughout the world for both business and pleasure and has currently visited over 140 countries at least once. 

 Cal was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta and spent the majority of his youth in Lethbridge, Alberta.  He graduated from Lethbridge Collegiate Institute and then continued on to get a Business Administration Degree – Accounting Major from Lethbridge Community College. 

After marrying his wife, Dianne, in 1981, he continued his studies and became a Certified General Accountant and his career has seen him working for businesses in agriculture, oil and gas and currently in construction.

Calvin and Dianne have lived in the Calgary area since 1983.  Both of their children, Jordan and Carissa, were born and raised in the Calgary area.  In 2003, they moved to Chestermere, Alberta where they currently reside.

Cal has been a member of the Strathmore Golf Club since 2008 and feels the attraction of the Strathmore Golf Club was the rural atmosphere, the close proximately to Chestermere and the shape the course was in compared to other in the area. 

 My name is Ethan Wilson, I was raised in Strathmore and have been a member at the club for most of the past 20 years and a shareholder for the most recent 5 years. I graduated from Strathmore High School and received my Engineering degree from the University of Saskatchewan. After working and living in multiple cities in southern Alberta my wife, Brianne, and I have decided to raise our family here in Strathmore. We have two daughters, Lennon and Rowan, who are both showing a love for the game of golf.

I enjoy both my time at work and on the family farm near Rosebud where I farm with my dad and brother. Our family enjoys traveling as much as possible and mixing in a round of golf whenever we can, kids included. 

 Garth Turgeon was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, and is the youngest sibling of six children to Don and Helen Turgeon who made their way from Saskatchewan to Calgary the year Garth was born.

Sports have always been a pivotal part of Garth's life having played baseball, basketball, football, golf, and hockey from a young age. He has passed his passion down to his own three boys as well as others through coaching both boys and girls teams in many sports. Golf has always remained his favourite sport and in 2019 Garth became a member of the USGTF.

Garth had a rewarding 35-year career in the printing industry with 30 of those years working for the Calgary Sun. He joined The Sun as a journeyman pressman and worked his way up to managing the Pressroom and Pre-press. Since retiring from the Calgary Sun, Garth has kept himself busy as Maintenance Manager providing support to multiple Tim Horton locations in and around Calgary.

Garth and his incredible wife Alison raised three wonderful boys together who are all now married to three amazing women. To date, they have three wonderful grandchildren who bring them immense joy. The boy's early years were spent learning and playing at the Elks Golf Club in Calgary where the family were members for 17 years. In 1999, Garth and Alison purchased an acreage Northwest of Strathmore and very soon after bought a share at SGC.

Garth is proud to say they currently have 3 generations playing at the wonderful SGC and is thoroughly enjoying this chapter of his life!
